culturedhpmcswerestimulatedwith0.01lowmolecularweighthyaluronan(280,000da,lha)and0.01
highmolecularweighthyaluronan(1,600,000da,hha).extracellularcellcoatwasoervedusingparticleexclusionaay,andtheexpreionofhyaluronansynthase2and3(has2andhas3)mrnainhpmcswasmeasuredbyreversetracription-polymerasechainreaction(rt-pcr).
resultlhaandhhastimulatedhas-2mrnaexpreion,however,onlylhaenhancehas-3mrnaexpreion.thesizesoftheextracelluarcoatinthetwogrouwerenotsignificantdifferentwiththatofcontrol.
inconclusion:
1.repeatedintraperitonealadditionofhyaluronanmayprevent,atleastinpart,themembranedamagecausedbycurrentlyusedhypertonicdialysissolution.
2.(1)normalperitonealsurfaceiscoveredbyaeudo-membranelayerwhichiseasilydiolvedandthereforenotseeninconventionaltiueproceing;(2)hyaluronanwasacomponentofthislayer.inaddition,thislayermightalsocontainphoholipids.
