inordertostudytheeffectontheshocklets,onehastoaccuratelydeterminetheirlocation.thelocatioofshockletswereusuallydeterminedbyfindingthedeestpartsoftheiso-contourplotofacertainflowvariableandthencheckedbyiftheparametersonbothsidesoftheshockletssatisfytheshockrelation.however,thismethodmaynotbereliablewhentheshockletisweak.itseemsfeasibletolocatetheshockletsbywatchingthesharpchangeofacertainflowvariablealongalineintersectingwiththeshocklets.however,italsobecomesunreliableforweakshockletsduetothefactthattheflowfieldonbothsidesofashockletisalreadyuneven,thusitisnoteasytopiointthesmalljumpoftheflowvariableamongtheallchangingflowfield.
